I went to one of the biggest party schools in the world and we didn’t have an undergrad porn magazine.

Here’s how lame Barnes & Noble is. I had a book reading and signing at the Oakland B&N last February (a whole year ago), and after the reading, rather than send the unsold books back to me (who shipped them directly there), they sent them to a distributor from which they didn’t even order them. Now, I get a call from a library that bought some of those books from the distributor… well, one of them is autographed “To Jerry”. This is the guy who I GAVE a copy of the book and was running the signing. He sold his book back to the distributor, the book I gave him for free! Incredible. What makes this worse is that Barnes & Noble never even paid me for the books they did sell that night. Authors and small publishers, be warned. Personally, I’ll never shop at a B&N again.

Too much travel and too many 5am wakeup calls have left me too tired to form coherent original thoughts, so here’s a hysterical (and oh so accurate) damnation of the blog community. (Note that I’d never consider myself part of any “community” at all, and I agree that most blogs are indeed trash.)

Sadly, I can’t really remember all the states I’ve visited. Have I been to Utah? Surely I’ve been to St. Louis, right? Rhode Island… did we go through there during that tour of the east coast? Ah, skip it…
