Amusing scene outside the KFC: Young lithe girl arguing with obese KFC manager, with a cop overseeing the debate. Girl has on a shirt reading “KFC is Cruelty” and is handing out fliers to would-be chicken eaters, much to the dissatisfaction of the manager. As there’s a long line inside the KFC (I don’t care if it’s cruelty, I’m freakin hungry) I get to see the whole thing shake down, though I can’t hear what’s said. Eventually the cop leaves, the protester stays. She’s ordered to take down her little sign, that’s it. As I depart, she’s handing out fliers on the corner, but only between chats on her cell phone.
