Just came across this site. It’s oddly out of date, but it provides an interesting (if incomplete) graph of how filmcritic.com ratings break down. Sort of.

Here’s the actual breakdown of all reviews currently on the site:

5 stars: 123

4.5 stars: 229

4 stars: 667

3.5 stars: 748

3 stars: 814

2.5 stars: 587

2 stars: 690

1.5 stars: 379

1 star: 233

I have always noted the odd lack of 2.5 star reviews which blow the bell curve a bit…
