After a week with no problems, the horizontal static issue returns. The techs finally come, plug in a gizmo and check it out: It doesn’t do anything wrong for half an hour. Again, the nearby tower is blamed for interference. That, or “grounding,” though the TV is a two-pronger, not grounded at all. My only recourse may be to relocate the TV to another room. That is, if the problem returns again… it hasn’t done it for an hour now.
