I like Ikea in general. When I need a new bookcase or CD storage, it’s my first port of call. I needed a cheap light fixture (to replace an even cheaper one in our new place), and the $4.99 price was right. But I took it out of the package and the thing was broken, literally physically broken into pieces, within 30 seconds. Amazing. Of course there’s no way I’m returning it. It’s not even worth the gas money to drive to Oakland to get a new one, much less waiting in that ridiculous return line.
