The Cul-de-sac… About That Ending

by Christopher Null  /  February 12, 2025

So, if you’ve read the book by now you probably have one of two opinions about the ending: You love it or you hate it. I intentionally left some (but very little) ambiguity on the final page, as I wanted readers to think a little about it — and leave them with the poetic image that I’d had in mind from the start.

But I get it if you are frustrated by that — or, perhaps, if you just want a little more.

So with that in mind, I decided to write an epilogue. This extra chapter is only available online and, it goes without saying, is something you should absolutely not read unless you’ve finished the book. It’s available on the Tule blog, and you can find The Cul-de-sac epilogue here, along with some additional thoughts.

Enjoy.
